Your Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit is expiring in days. And most cardholders have no idea it even exists.
It is not the travel credit. It is not the dining credit. It is the $150 Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub benefit that resets on June 30th. And if you have not used it yet, you still have time to turn it into free concert tickets, sports games, Broadway shows, or any live event you have been wanting to attend.
But if you just go straight to StubHub and buy tickets, you are leaving points and cashback on the table.
This post shows you exactly how to use your Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit before it expires and how to stack it so you walk away with free tickets, bonus cashback, and over 8,000 extra points on a single purchase.
WHAT IS THE CHASE SAPPHIRE RESERVE STUBHUB CREDIT?
The Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit gives you up to $300 in annual credits split into two periods.
$150 from January through June 30th.
$150 from July through December 31st.
The first $150 of your Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit expires on June 30th 2026. If you do not use it before then it disappears. It does not roll over. It does not carry into the second half of the year. It is simply gone.
The good news is you do not have to attend an event before June 30th. You just need to make a purchase by that date. So you can buy tickets today for a concert or sports game happening in September and still use your credit.
STEP ONE: ACTIVATE YOUR CHASE SAPPHIRE RESERVE STUBHUB BENEFIT FIRST

Before you can use the Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit you need to activate it inside your Chase account. Log into your Chase account, navigate to your card benefits, and activate the StubHub benefit from there. This is a one-time activation and without it your purchases will not trigger the reimbursement.
Do not skip this step. It is the one thing that trips people up every time.
STEP TWO: DO NOT GO STRAIGHT TO STUBHUB
Here is where most people miss out on extra value.
Instead of going directly to StubHub after activating your Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit, go to Rakuten first.
Rakuten is a cashback portal that pays you cash back or Amex Membership Rewards points on purchases you make through their links. StubHub is a Rakuten partner, which means when you click through to StubHub from Rakuten you earn cashback on your purchase even after Chase reimburses the full cost afterward.
Yes. You can earn Rakuten cashback on a purchase that Chase covers for free.
Note: Rakuten cashback rates change regularly so check the current rate before you click through.
STEP THREE: BUY YOUR TICKETS AND PAY WITH YOUR CHASE SAPPHIRE RESERVE
Once you are on StubHub through the Rakuten link, select your event and pay with your Chase Sapphire Reserve. Your Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit will be applied as a statement credit automatically. No code needed. No form to fill out.
If your tickets cost less than $150 you will be credited the full purchase amount. If they cost more than $150 you will be credited $150 and pay the difference.
STEP FOUR: LINK PAZE TO YOUR CARD AND ADD IT AT CHECKOUT FOR EXTRA POINTS
Paze is a digital wallet backed by Chase. Between May and December 2026, using Paze at checkout earns you an extra 10x bonus points on top of your base earning rate.
Before you can use it, you need to link your Chase Sapphire Reserve to Paze first. Set up your Paze wallet and add your Chase Sapphire Reserve as the linked card. This is a one-time setup step.
Once it is linked, select Paze as your payment method at checkout on StubHub and your purchase will be processed through your linked Chase Sapphire Reserve automatically.
On Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub purchases your base earning rate is 1x. Add Paze and you are at 11x points per dollar.
On a $150 purchase that is 1,650 points from Paze alone on top of your base points. On a larger purchase the numbers get even better.

Concerts: Search for artists currently on tour in your city. Many general admission or upper level tickets for popular shows fall right around the $150 mark.

Festivals: If you are planning to attend a summer or fall festival, StubHub carries tickets for events happening across the country. Use your Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit now and attend later.
The key thing to remember is the event does not need to happen before June 30th. You just need to make the purchase. So buy your summer or fall tickets now using your Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit before it resets.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY CHASE SAPPHIRE RESERVE STUBHUB CREDIT AFTER JUNE 30TH?
The credit resets. From July 1st through December 31st you get another $150 in Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credits. Use the same stacking strategy in the second half of the year and you are walking away with $300 in free events annually from this single benefit alone.
DO NOT FORGET YOUR OTHER JUNE 30TH CREDITS
While you are thinking about your Chase Sapphire Reserve StubHub credit, do a quick check on everything else that resets at the end of June.
The $150 dining credit at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables resets June 30th.
The $250 hotel credit through The Edit also resets twice a year, so check whether you have used this half’s credit yet.
Set a calendar reminder right now for the last week of June. Your credits do not care whether you remembered them or not. They reset on schedule regardless.
