If you’re anything like me, you know there’s a certain thrill in piecing together the perfect trip—especially when it’s fueled by points. But not every route is easy to snag, and some destinations are a bit tricky to plan. That’s why I always rely on one powerful (and free!) tool: Roame.travel.
This platform is a game-changer for finding available award flights across 20+ airline loyalty programs. With Roame, not only can you check award seat availability, but you also get the scoop on how to book, what miles you’ll need, and which airline the flight operates on. The free version allows you to search for specific destinations over a 3 day time frame while the paid version allows you to widen your dates.
How to Search for Award Flights
To run a search, just plug in your departure city, destination, and preferred travel date. You can also set your travel class and add additional travellers. Super intuitive.
Roame displays all the available flight options along with the operating airline, the booking program, the mileage rate, and other flight specifics.
When you search, the results will show you everything you need — including which airline operates the flight, which program to book through, the points required, and all key flight details. You’ll also see a +/- 1 day option at the top to easily compare rates across nearby dates.
You know how I always say flexibility is 🔑? This is a perfect example of why it matters!
In the example below, the best option for our route is a direct Air France flight booked through Virgin Atlantic — just 10,000 miles to Europe. That’s an amazing deal! 👏🏻✈️
Click the arrow on the right side of the screen to reveal even more details about the flight. This is where you’ll see all the transfer partner options (which I absolutely LOVE). If you’re ready to book, just hit the red “Book” button — it takes you straight to the airline’s site to lock in that exact flight. I also love the fact that Roame captures any existing transfer bonus (in this case there is a 25% transfer bonus from Chase which makes the price 10k miles. Roame really makes it so simple!

If you’re serious about maximizing points and booking smarter, SkyView is a Pro feature on Roame.travel that you’ll absolutely love. It’s hands-down my favorite award search tool — and trust me, I’ve used a lot of them.
